In a thriller the Enterprise Trekkers staged a dramatic comeback over the
Dominican Republicans winning by a score of 5 to 4 at the
ballpark.
Enterprise had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits. Dave Roberts got things going when he took
matters into his own hands and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 1st of
the season). Luis Castillo was next and he drew a walk. After an out was
recorded, Danny Bautista stepped up to the plate and he ripped a base-knock
resulting in a mighty exciting win for Enterprise and the 6,498 home town
fans in attendance. Overall Enterprise out-hit Dominican 12 to 8.
Ricardo Rincon(2-1) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory.
The losing pitcher was Jorge Julio(3-5) in relief. Enterprise now has a
record of 48-66. With the loss, Dominican has a record of 4-6 lately, 45-69
overall.
